An Unmatched Delivery Systemx

The most important step in the development of a sound EOP is having an effective delivery system for all that information – a system that makes all the data available to all those who can utilize it most effectively.

Components of an Optimal ERS:

Emergency planning, electronic multimedia data delivery, system training and emergency response system exercising work hand in hand to proactively prepare for a rapid and safe first response to your facility at the onset of an emergency situation. The coordinated use of the four following concepts will increase the effectiveness of your emergency plan exponentially.

1. EOP

  1. Authored by a professional consulting firm specializing in drafting planning documents focusing on emergency operations plans, disaster preparedness plans, business continuity plans, comprehensive emergency management plans, continuity of operations plans, etc.

2. Emergency Response System Assembly and Coordination (Aegis)

  1. Electronic data collection, data organization, data retrieval, data delivery and data dissemination.
  2. Authored, configured and deployed by a professional consulting firm with boots-on-the-ground first responder, special operations and emergency planning experience and expertise.

*Of important note is that professional consulting firms specializing in authoring a variety of emergency planning and recovery documents rarely, if ever go into the actual operational and informational details that the CRT team captures. 3. Training

  1. Training on the use of your ERS most efficiently conducted by the firm that has deployed that system (CRT – Aegis).

4. Exercise your ERS

  1. Conducted by a professional consulting firm specializing HSEEP compliant exercise training in emergency management, disaster preparedness, business continuity, etc.
  2. Discussion Based Exercises and Operations Based Exercises (DBE / OBE)
    1. The purpose of both discussion and operations-based exercises is to familiarize participants with current plans, policies, agreements and procedures and may be used to develop new plans policies agreements and procedures.
    2. While the purpose of DBEs and OBEs are very similar they differ in delivery, scope and complexity.
  3. Discussion Based Exercises
    1. Exercise types include Seminars, Workshops, Tabletop Exercises (TTX) and Games.
    2. DBEs are generally less elaborate and are conducted in a classroom/conference room environment as a simulation.
  4. Operations Based Exercises
    1. OBEs include Drills, Functional Exercises and Full-Scale Exercise.
    2. OBEs are generally more elaborate and are conducted in a real-world “role playing” environment. The drill, functional exercise and full scale exercise are progressively more complex and can involve multiple agencies, multiple jurisdictions and multiple disciplines.

The Aegis deployment begins with a series of highly focused on-site visits to engage the Aegis technology and collect, analyze and catalog your critical facility operating information (people, data and physical assets).

  • Reports such as Business Continuity Plan (BCP), Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP), Security/Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (SVA or VA), Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP), Comprehensive Emergency Plan (CEMP), etc.

4. Drawings and Graphic Documents

  • Drawings and floor plans, adjacent properties, CCTV, stairwells, elevators, access/egress, (table and matrix formats), etc.

5. Databases

  • Tenant contact list, emergency contacts, subcontractors, hazmat inventory.

Aegis Training – Key Personnel and Public Safety Agencies

From day one, the CRT team engages and trains your key facility personnel on the implementation, operation and maintenance of the Aegis system – but the training goes beyond the boundaries of your property.
